Rachel is licensed as a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a BC-AAP with the Activity Professionals National Credentialing Center, and CORE certified as an assisted living administrator. With a decade of professional experience in senior living, she began her career in 2013 as a server in an independent living dining room. Knowing she wanted to continue her education, she
moved to Tampa, FL, where she earned her master’s degree in Gerontology. While in school, she was a Therapeutic Recreation Lead in a skilled nursing community. In this new setting, her love for working with seniors only grew. Over the last few years, she advanced her career while holding the role of Director of Life Enrichment in an assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing community. A few years into that position, the opportunity to work in Sales and Marketing presented itself, and as a young professional in the field, she went for it! She has been the Director of Sales and Marketing at The Preserve for nearly 2.5 years. She really takes pride in guiding families through the transition from home to a community setting. She sees how much residents can thrive in this type of environment and enjoys encouraging families to take the leap! Rachel’s grandfather and father both found their lifelong careers in senior communities. As long as Rachel can remember, she has always been immersed in all aspects of senior living. She feels that her early exposure really led to developing a love and compassion for this group of people.
