About CAMEO of Lee County
CAMEO (or Cooperative Associates Marketing Elderly Options) is a not-for-profit organization consisting of individuals who are dedicated to the betterment of the lives of seniors in Southwest Florida. Our organization has concentrated its efforts on helping the under-served senior population in Lee County. Since its formation in 1998, we have awarded over $200,000 in grants, all thanks to the generosity of local community businesses. By supporting our upcoming fundraiser, you too would be one of the many donors making a vast impact on our local seniors.
OUR MISSION:
CAMEO is committed to serving the needs of seniors residing in Lee County by:
-
Communicating information on available services and resources
-
Providing access to current information on government programs and funding
-
Identifying service gaps in our community and providing available solutions
-
Working as a team to improve the quality of life for our Older Adults through networking and the sharing of ideas and values
-
A networking breakfast is held on the third Thursday of every month at rotating member host locations. Although the meetings are free to members, nominal annual dues are collected from member agencies. A 50/50 raffle at each meeting raises funds for our annual grants ceremony
